WOW— what an experience I had over the previous 4 days. Our first missionary group of the year, Franktown SDA Church has just left. The project that the youth decided upon was to take a small two bedroom apt. and turn it into a more advanced learning center for our children. One room was for art, another for architecture and building, the next room was for design work using fabrics and notions and also a small kitchen that will become a home ec classroom. The youth from this church forever changed the thinking of many adults. They FAR exceeded our expectations and left us wishing they could have stayed longer. THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the youth for being a treasure to us at Lavida.
Well I’m glad you wanted have us stay but said you wanted me to post what my trip was like from begining to end: some of us arrived at eight and the rest at 1:30 and the next morning where up by crack dawn, ate breakfast and headed over and then I painted and taped and pianted and taped until the delicous lunch aand then we went back did something ate supper and hit the sack the next day we went to church and learned about the armor og God and the first 10 presidents. I painted that night and we finished and sunday we didwe finished it the sweeping and all manners of things and that night the ladies Sheyenne and Lizz and of course invited us [just us girls] over and they where the most graciuos people and we got up and left thet morning planning to leave and on the road by 8:00 but of course misshaps we where on the road. But my most favorite thing was all the kids coming up and treating me like i had been there all my life.I also want to say thanks to the lunchcrew for the food, and to Mr. and Mrs. polly for vespers and just thankyou to everyone else- NICOLE
i had so much fun. everyone was so friendly. the boys talked me onto the tire swing, and man can they spin the tire.they are so much fun. the girls were aswome, special thanks to them. the movie i am four was good, one of the little girls crawled into my lap and in a few minutes was asleep. i had so much fun, hoping to come back. mr. larry and mr. bob were awsome, they took time out of there day to do lunch and take us hiking. you guys treated us like family, i am hoping to come back this summer. special thanks to: mrs. daphne and her husband, mrs. dolores, mr. polly, mrs.dorie and all the kids. i loved vespers and all that philipino food, it was great. i had a supurb time at lavida. great fun. thankyou so much. LOVED IT, WOUlD LOVE TO COME BACK ANYTIME
From one crazy kid (ME) to all you crazy kids (even the adults) at LVM, I HAD TONS OF FUN WITH ALL OF YOU!
Nizhoni, Chay (who has a beautiful first name), Jessica (the silent one), Saquoira, Hozhoni, Shanna, Grayson (Mr. Cool), Jessie (the Protector), Damien, Dominic (the lyrical poet!), the MIGHTY Thor, Neverending Smiling Gabriel…. To all of you there (and those I could not remember you names, sorry), I really enjoyed being there with you guys! I sure wish we could have went on the SHARK tooth hike on the plateau nearby.
I look forward in coming back to visit with you guys, hopefully this time we can have more fun with each together. We will have to do the tied dyed T-shirts again, this time we won’t dry them together. Some of my favorite shirts, Nizz and William, lost there brightness and clarity they had originally. Sorry about that… my fault really.
It was truly a pleasure getting to know all of you. I only wish we had more time to spend with each other. We must make a point to do more together… maybe we can all go to Chaco Canyon. I really love your cultural heritage, be proud of it always. If you are able to speak your native tongue, PLEASE don’t lose it, it is truly a gift that you have…practice it.
A yon yin shye! ALL of you!
your friend as long as you’ll have me,

This trip to La Vida will forever be in my top ten accomplishments in my life. I had the challenge of designing rooms that I had never seen before. I learned with God, all things can be accomplished. I had to completely rely on him for guidance or I would have panicked. I think of each individual that was on this trip and they each played a special part in the outcome of this project. Each had a tallent or skill or just plain willingness to work. I praise God that he worked the schedule out so my son and I could be a part of this blessing. I have also learned that there is no set amount of time needed to become a friend, sister or brother with a child. It can happen in an instant when you have the love of Jesus! I miss you La Vida children, always remember how special and loved you are!
